Can I use this on a HELIX or SOLIX unit?

No. The HDMI-OUT port is an exclusive feature of the APEX Series. HELIX and SOLIX units do not have the internal video card hardware to output an HDMI signal, so there is no adapter that will make this work for them.

Is the connection waterproof?

Yes. The end that connects to your APEX fish finder has a threaded, waterproof collar that screws into the back of the unit, maintaining its IPX7 waterproof rating. The other end (Standard HDMI) is not waterproof and should be plugged into a TV in a dry area (cabin/console).

Does this display the same image as my screen?

Yes. This cable "mirrors" exactly what is on your APEX screen. If you split your APEX screen to show Side Imaging and GPS, the TV will show Side Imaging and GPS.
