The "Prop Shadow" Killer

Big motors create big problems for Side Imaging. If your outboard's lower unit blocks the view of your transducer, you get a black line or "shadow" on one side of your screen. The Humminbird AS 14 SI LR Y is the professional solution.

Dual Transducer Setup:

This "Y" cable allows you to install two separate Side Imaging transducers—one on the port side, one on the starboard side. The cable automatically stitches the signals together, taking the Left image from the port transducer and the Right image from the starboard transducer, giving you a perfect, unobstructed 180-degree view of the bottom, no matter how big your motor is.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this give me two depth readings?

No. The cable is wired to take the Left Side Image from the port transducer, and the Right Side Image + 2D Depth from the starboard transducer. You will see one seamless image on your screen, as if you had one "perfect" transducer.

Will this work on my HELIX 12?

No. HELIX units use a different 7-pin or 9-pin connector. This cable has the large 14-pin metal connector specific to ONIX, ION, SOLIX, and APEX units. For a HELIX, you need the 9 M SILR Y cable.

Do I need to change any settings?

Generally, no. The unit will still think it is connected to a single transducer. The cable does the "magic" of routing the signals electrically. You simply install the two transducers, plug them into the Y-cable, plug the Y-cable into the unit, and fish.
