Rigging a fiberglass boat correctly usually involves hunting down five different part numbers. The Humminbird Dual HELIX Starter Kit (HWFG) puts everything in one box to network two units (Console & Bow) and set up the perfect "High-Speed" sonar system.
High-Speed Depth + Side Imaging:
The included 9 M SIDB Y-Cable and In-Hull Transducer (XP 9 HW T) allow you to split your signal. Your unit will read depth from the puck glued inside your bilge (for readings at 60+ MPH) while still getting Side Imaging from your transom or trolling motor transducer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this work on my Aluminum Boat?
No. This kit includes a "Shoot-Through-Hull" transducer designed to be epoxied inside a fiberglass bilge. Sonar cannot shoot through aluminum. If you have an aluminum boat, you need the Dual HELIX Starter Kit - HWAL (Transom Version), which comes with a transom-mount transducer instead.
Why do I need the Y-Cable?
Side Imaging transducers are large and often lose bottom contact at high speeds. This kit allows you to install a small "puck" inside the hull for rock-solid depth readings at full throttle, while the Y-cable automatically switches back to your big transducer for Side Imaging when you slow down.
Does it include the Side Imaging transducer?
No. It assumes you already have the Side Imaging transducer that came with your Console unit (or the Built-In MEGA Imaging on your trolling motor). This kit provides the In-Hull 2D transducer and all the cables to merge them together.
