Will these fit my old LX-3?
Yes. Marcum has used the same thread pitch for their gimbal knobs for over 15 years. Whether you have an original LX-3 or a new M5 Lithium, these knobs will screw in perfectly.
Are these the bolts that hold the bracket to the shuttle?
No. These are the Side Knobs that screw into the plastic housing of the flasher unit itself (to hold it to the U-bracket). The bolts that hold the U-bracket to the red shuttle base are different hardware.
Why do I need the washers?
The rubber washers act as a "lock washer" and a friction pad. They prevent the plastic-on-plastic slip that causes the screen to droop when you are pounding through waves or riding a snowmobile. Always install the washer between the bracket and the knob.
