Will this fit my HELIX 7?
No. The HELIX 7 has a physically larger housing and screen (7-inch vs 5-inch). This bracket is too small. You need the IDMK H7 for the 7-inch models.
Is it hard to install?
It requires cutting a rectangular hole in your dashboard. The kit comes with a paper template that you tape to the dash, which shows exactly where to drill the corner holes and cut the lines. If you are comfortable using a jigsaw or Dremel, it is a straightforward installation.
Can I remove the unit once it's installed?
It is not designed for quick removal like the gimbal mount. To remove the unit, you have to reach behind the dash and unscrew the retention knobs. It is intended to be a semi-permanent installation.
