No. The G3 and G3N models use the older chassis design. You need the IDMK H7 (Part #740174-1) for G2 and G3 units. This "R2" kit is specifically molded for the G4 body style.
Does it come with a template?
Yes. The kit includes a full-scale paper template. You simply tape it to your dashboard, and it shows you exactly where to drill the mounting holes and where to make the main cutout for the unit.
Why do I need a "Reinforced" kit?
The "N" (Networking) models of the HELIX 7 G4 are heavier and have more cables coming out of the back than previous non-networked units. The "R2" bracket is stronger to prevent the unit from vibrating or shifting in the dash when hitting waves.
