Torque for the Brushless Era

The new QUEST series motors produce massive torque, and they need a propeller that can translate that power into water movement. The Minn Kota MKP-40 Power Prop is the 4-blade performance propeller designed specifically for the 24V/36V Brushless QUEST motors.

Open Water Performance:

While the Weedless Wedge (MKP-39) is great for slop, the **MKP-40 Power Prop** is king of open water. Its 4-blade design bites into the water harder, providing superior handling in wind, current, and heavy chop. It is the preferred prop for big walleye boats and heavy fiberglass hulls.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my standard 112lb Ultrex?

No. The QUEST series uses a completely different prop shaft design (no shear pin, different diameter). This prop physically will not fit on a standard 112lb or 80lb motor. You need the MKP-33 or MKP-38 for standard motors.

What is the difference between MKP-40 and MKP-39?

The MKP-39 is the "Weedless Wedge" (2 blades, flared) designed for thick vegetation. The MKP-40 (this prop) is the "Power Prop" (4 blades) designed for maximum thrust in open water, current, and wind. If you fish clean water or big waves, the MKP-40 is better.

Do I need a prop nut kit?

The prop comes with the necessary nut and washer. Since the QUEST motors do not use a shear pin (they use a direct-drive shaft), there is no drive pin to worry about breaking or replacing.
