Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work on my HELIX 7?

No. The HELIX 7 uses a different pin configuration. If you have a HELIX 7, you need the MKR-MDI-2 (for Down Imaging motors) or MKR-MSI-2 (for Side Imaging motors). This cable (MKR-MI-1) is only for HELIX 8 and larger.

I have a Down Imaging motor, but this says "MI" (Mega Imaging). Will it work?

Yes. The MKR-MI-1 is the "Universal" MEGA adapter for Helix 8-15. It handles the wiring for both Side Imaging and Down Imaging motors. If you plug a Down Imaging motor into it, the Helix will simply read the Down Imaging signal.

Do I need this for my SOLIX?

No. The SOLIX and APEX units already use the same 14-pin connector that is on the trolling motor cable. You can plug the motor directly into the back of a SOLIX without any adapter.
