Humminbird AS SI LR Y - Side Imaging Splitter Cable (Left/Right)
720056-1Compatibility:
See Past the Obstruction
If your outboard motor, jack plate, or shallow water anchor is blocking one side of your Side Imaging view, the solution is to install two Side Imaging transducers—one on the port side and one on the starboard side. The Humminbird AS SI LR Y (720056-1) connects both transducers to your single head unit, combining the clear "Left" view from the port transducer with the clear "Right" view from the starboard transducer.
How It Works:
This cable ignores the blocked side from each transducer and stitches together a perfect, unobstructed 180-degree image on your screen. It is essential for boats with stepped hulls, large jack plates, or twin engines.
- NOT for High Speed Depth: Do not confuse this with the "AS SIDB Y" cable. This cable does NOT split 2D sonar from Side Imaging. It is strictly for connecting two Side Imaging transducers together.
- Standard Definition Only: This cable (720056-1) is designed for standard Side Imaging frequencies (455/800 kHz). If you have a MEGA Imaging unit (HELIX G3N/G4N), you should use the shielded 9 M SILR Y (720101-1) to prevent signal loss.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this give me high-speed depth readings?
No. This cable (AS SI LR Y) is for clearing obstructions in your Side Imaging view by using two SI transducers. If you want high-speed depth readings, you need the AS SIDB Y cable, which splits the 2D sonar to a separate high-speed transducer (shoot-thru-hull).
Why do I need two transducers?
If your boat has a large motor, jack plate, or sponsons that stick out, they can physically block the sonar beam on one side, creating a dark line or "shadow" on your screen. By placing a transducer on the far outside of each obstruction and using this Y-cable, you eliminate the shadow.
Does this work with MEGA Imaging?
It will physically connect, but it is not recommended. This older version (720056-1) lacks the dedicated shielding required for the high-frequency MEGA signal. You might experience interference or graininess. For MEGA units, buy the 9 M SILR Y (Part #720101-1).
