Waterproof & Secure:

This 2-wire plug features a threaded locking collar to prevent vibration from shaking it loose and a watertight cap to seal the contacts when the Talon is not in use. It is built with heavy-gauge wire to handle the spike current of anchor deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this for my trolling motor?

No. Trolling motors can draw upwards of 50-60 Amps continuously. This plug is not rated for that kind of sustained heat and will likely melt. You need a dedicated trolling motor plug like the MKR-26 or MKR-28.

How does it install?

It is a "splice-in" installation. You cut the existing power wire coming from your Talon, strip the ends, and splice this plug in-line using butt connectors or solder/shrink tube. This gives you a break point near the anchor.

Is it waterproof when unplugged?

Yes. The kit includes a tethered sealing cap. When you unplug the Talon and take it off the boat, you screw the cap onto the boat-side plug to keep the contacts from corroding in the rain or spray.
