Frequently Asked Questions

Is this cable waterproof?

The connectors are waterproof when tightened securely, but the junction point should not be submerged in water (like the bottom of a bilge). We recommend securing the connection point high and dry under your console or bow panel.

Will this work with a SOLIX unit?

No. The SOLIX and APEX series use a 14-pin connector. This EC M10 uses the standard 7-pin connector found on HELIX units. You need the EC M3 1410 (Part #720106-2) for a SOLIX 10ft extension.

Can I daisy chain two of these together?

While it is physically possible, we do not recommend connecting multiple extension cables together if the total length exceeds 50 feet. Excessive cable length can result in signal loss, especially with high-frequency MEGA Imaging.
