Unlike soft neoprene bags, this is a hard molded shell (Part #780016-1) that acts as a shield for the LCD screen. It is essential for protecting discontinued units that are costly or impossible to repair today.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my new PiranhaMAX 4?

No. The PiranhaMAX 4 has a slightly wider, more rectangular screen than the older models. You need the UC PM4 cover for that unit. The UC 3 is too narrow.

Is this a soft rubber cover?

No, this is a Hard Cover. It is made of rigid black plastic (sometimes with a slightly rubberized feel, but it holds its shape). It snaps onto the front bezel of the fish finder to provide impact protection.

Will this fit a HELIX 5?

No. The HELIX 5 is a "widescreen" (landscape) unit. The 300 Series and old PiranhaMAX units were "portrait" (vertical) screens. The shapes are completely different. You need the UC H5 for a HELIX 5.
