Does this work with MEGA Down Imaging (MDI)?

No. The US2 system uses a specific 5-pin metal connector. The newer MEGA Imaging transducers use a 14-pin connector. If you have a motor with Built-In MEGA Imaging, you need the 10-foot Extension Cable (MKR-MI-1) instead.

Do I still need the adapter plug for my graph?

Yes. This cable just makes the line longer. You still need the specific adapter dongle (like the MKR-US2-8 for Humminbird or MKR-US2-10 for Lowrance) at the end of this extension to plug it into your screen.

Is it waterproof?

Yes. Both ends feature the metal screw-lock collar with internal O-rings. The connection point is fully submersible, making it safe to run through wet bilges or rod lockers.
